Getting Started

Hello, friends! I've been meaning to start a family blog for a while now, but just can't seem to find the time. Mostly because I'm pretty computer illiterate and the idea of figuring out this blog mess it daunting. BUT I'm ready to give it a shot! Michael and I just bought a "new" home that is in need of some major renovations. We thought this would be a great way to document our progress. And, hopefully, when the house is finished I'll keep this blog up! We'll see how it goes . . . ! Here are some before shots of our "as is" home:

I'd label these for you, but I can't figure out how. (Can't figure out why this is underlining either.) Wish us luck . . . you may think we're nuts after you've taken a good look. These pictures don't really do the dust, grime or smell justice!

As a writer, the first thing I noticed is the great blog NAME! And I love the house—great bones, light, space, etc.—can’t wait to see the finished product. Or even the work in progress, as our homes always are. And for anyone who is renovating a house (you know I’ve done more than one) here’s a great Tennessee Williams quote: Enthusiasm is the most important thing in life. (p.s. thanks for listing my blog in your favorites!)

House looks like a great adventure, but I LOVE the family picture! Wonderful! It's been so long since I've seen any of you in person . . . and I hear it will still be longer despite my efforts to come South!
